New Car - Solution

After much umming and arghing Smart Manchester and I have finally reached a compromise. We’ve priced up resprays (starts at £1000), buying a complete set of brand new panels in green (also approx £1000), sticker packages, upping the spec etc. In the meantime, however, I’ve been furkeling on the internet and found a set of smart car zebra stickers for £50 a set. Bargain and just what I wanted - a funky little car.

I’ve agreed with the dealership that I will accept a black and white smart fourtwo and get a set of zebra stickers so I’ve got a smart zebra. The advantage being that I can peel the stickers off if/when I get bored and fancy a change. I can also buy flowers, butterflies, tribal designs and who knows what else to customise it for very little money. Even better, smart car panels are plastic and their colours don’t fade in the sunlight so I don’t have to worry about the paint fading around the stickers and leaving marks when you remove them after a couple of years.

The dealership is throwing in a few extra bits and pieces as compensation for initially selling me a car that didn’t exist. In fairness it wasn’t their fault. They sold me the car because the computer system said they could request it from this other dealership. They offered to refund my money no problem and have done their best to find satisfactory alternatives for this very difficult and disappointed customer. I’m just waiting for a delivery date now, and hoping that my Ford Fiesta will pass it’s MOT no questions asked.
