New Car / Old Car Update

Well, it’s now completely confirmed. A black and white smart fortwo pulse with automatic transmission is winging it’s way towards Manchester and me as I write. I’m very excited. My old car (well, not that old really) has passed it’s MOT like a little good ‘un. It just needed a new front tyre. The MOT guys also refit my front windscreen wipers as the stupid girl from Halfords had fit them upside down or back to front or something. I wouldn’t mind but it cost me two quid to get Halfords to fit them. What a rip off!

Anyway so everything is in place now. I’m still waiting on a delivery date but hopefully it will be in the next week or so. After giving it some thought I decided that it would be better if I could get my zebra stickers professionally fitted since it’s the middle of winter and I don’t really fancy trying to learn how to stick large decals (oh yes, that’s the official word) on to my car in the middle of the street in the freezing cold. I suspect it takes practice to get the big ones to look good and not peel off after a few weeks or come flying off when you’re doing 70 on the motorway. Smart Manchester have recommended a company called Signs Express that they use for their company livery. They won’t fit the stickers off the internet, but are going to design me some completely unique zebra decals and fit them for me for a very reasonable price - after all they will be truly unique, not just limited edition. They will be emailing me some designs in the next few days.

I guess they could design anything. Maybe I’ll keep the zebra stripes for a couple of years then get them to design me something new. I could have a black and white checkerboard car or anything I fancy really for a couple of hundred quid.
